Foreword
The FIMS World Congress, which is organised
every four years, is the leading scientific event of the International
Federation of Sports Medicine.
The Hungarian Society of Sports Medicine is very proud
to host this prestigous scientific congress in Budapest.
More than 350 scientific contributions from 52
countries of the 5 continents justifies the appropriate motto of the
congress: Sports Medicine of the Global World.
The multidisciplinary nature of sports medicine is
reflected in the wide variety of topics, such as health promotion,
genetics, cardiology, exercise physiology, injury prevention, sports
surgery, rehabilitation just mention a few.
Although this publication does not contain the full
scientific program of the congress, we hope it allows interested collegues
to inspect recent scientific advances in sports medicine.
Our greatful thanks go to all authors who contributed
to the success of the conference and also to Monduzzi Editore.
